Rama gives news for farmers: We have created a 250 million euro credit line with

Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that it was achieved through the government's insistence that a Bank of Albania credit line of 250 million euros be created, focusing on agriculture.

Rama made the comments during a meeting on Agriculture and Rural Development, where today was only the first day of the dialogue with citizens, which will extend over time, writes A2 CNN.

Rama also gave a message to second-tier banks regarding loans for agriculture, emphasizing that the interest rate should be between 0.5 and 2%, because according to him, the banks have signed this contract with the state.

"It has been achieved that, with the government's insistence, a credit line of the Bank of Albania, 250 million euros, has been created, which focuses on agriculture. Now that we have this credit line from the Bank of Albania and it is strongly accessed, a high level of information is needed for farmers and a clear message for second-tier banks.

The message for commercial banks is that they should provide loans to agriculture at an interest rate of 0.5% to 2%, not 3.5%. Now I'm talking about agriculture, 3.5 is other enterprises. No more commas, commercial banks should be very clear.

"As for the risk, it is the government's guarantee, there must also be the cooperation of the local government in this process. For this reason, we have previously talked about charging municipalities with agricultural entrepreneurship, all municipalities on the planet do it. The leaders of the regions should do their job where we can create the first nucleus," said Rama, among other things. (A2 Televizion)
