"The toads have grown old, while the owl...", Rama meets with the PS

Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting with the Assemblies of the branches of the Socialist Party in Tirana, on Thursday morning.

At this meeting, the head of government emphasized that "Albania has a different reputation today, but it is not at that stage that reputation is independent of those in power."

"This will happen when we enter the European Union. Then Albania will be equal in dignity, for equality in economy and standards. It will be a path that will continue. This is because when a country enters the EU it benefits from others. We have been a humiliated nation and people. Now we have come very close to the opportunity to take revenge, in a positive sense, to remove once and for all from our necks the yoke of being looked down upon and treated as second-class people and people," he said.

Rama also focused on the opposition, which he said continues to remain the same in behavior and approach: "The toads have grown old, the frogs have grown tired, the toads have gone crazy, but they are there with the owl at the head who is like the one who gives up, but does not give up. "The swamp" has this job. For those who have little memory, if we held this meeting in 2013, we would have done it with generators. There are some who go in and out of the swamp. They go into the swamp and appear on television."
