Barcelona in economic crisis, puts Messi and Pique's closet up for sale

Barcelona seems to have found a solution to somewhat soften the effect of the economic crisis, using the large amount of objects and memories left behind by the works at the Camp Nou stadium.

In an auction that will start on January 23 and close on February 13, the Blaugrana club will sell many valuable objects, not even sparing the memories left behind by the Argentine star Lionel Messi.

Messi's shirt with the number 10 is actually the most valuable object that will be auctioned by Barcelona.

Anyone who wants to buy Messi's wardrobe will have to bid at least $350,000, while others range from a base of $100,000 (including items belonging to Maradona, Guardiola, Piqué and Ronaldinho).

Photographs of the teams that won the five Champions Leagues (1991-92, 2005-06, 2008-09, 2010-11, 2014-15), displayed in the dressing rooms and in the stadium tunnel, will also be auctioned.

The total of all "relics", starting from their initial price determined by the club, is worth about 1 million euros.

The auction will run from 10:00am on January 23 until 4:00am on February 13, during which time a large number of items that were removed from the Camp Nou during renovation work will be available to the highest bidder.
