Milan were eliminated from the Champions League in the play-off round after drawing 1-1 with Feyenoord at San Siro, losing 2-1 on aggregate.
The match started perfectly for the Rossoneri, as after just one minute Malick Thiaw kept the ball in play and turned it into the area, while Santiago Giménez scored with a header.
The Italian team dominated the first half, while João Félix almost doubled the lead with a powerful shot, but goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther made a fantastic save.
Despite Milan's pressure, Feyenoord did not give up and defended calmly.
Rafael Leão had a golden chance, but Wellenreuther again stopped him. Things got worse for Milan in the 66th minute when Theo Hernández was shown a second yellow card for diving in the box, leaving the team with 10 men.
With one more player, Feyenoord seized the opportunity and scored in the 72nd minute. Hugo Bueno delivered a perfect cross from the left and Julián Carranza headed in, giving the Dutch the lead.
Despite Milan's efforts in the final minutes, Feyenoord managed the game and secured qualification to the UCL round of 16 for the first time in 50 years. (A2 Televizion)
