There is a significant change regarding VAR in the Coppa Italia as referees will explain to fans in the stadium the reasons for their decisions on the pitch during the upcoming semi-finals, while fans will finally see VAR graphics on giant screens in Serie A matches.
As reported by "Sky Sport Italia", the most meaningful is undoubtedly the referees' explanation for the VAR reviews on the pitch during the upcoming semi-finals of the Italian Cup, KosovaPress reported.
Referees will be allowed to intervene via audio inside stadiums to explain their decisions after a review on the pitch monitor.
This change will be limited only to the Italian Cup matches, namely the Milan-Inter semi-finals, Bologna-Empoli and the final in May.
A further change concerns Serie A and will be implemented starting from the next round of the league, when fans in the stadium will be able to see the same television graphics displayed during VAR checks on giant screens to be informed of each decision. (A2 Televizion)
