List for June friendlies, Switzerland gathers only two Albanians

The Swiss national team has published the list of players invited for the two friendly matches in June.

Coach Murat Yakin has decided to field only two Albanian players. They are Ardon Jashari and captain Granit Xhaka.

What is striking is that the legend Xherdan Shaqiri is missing from the list. Despite his super form, where with 18 goals and 20 assists he gave Basel the championship title after an 8-year drought, Shaqiri has not convinced coach Yakin.

The "Helvets" will play two friendly matches in June, against Mexico and America, which are also the two organizers of the 2026 World Cup.

On the 7th, Switzerland plays against Mexico, and on the 11th against the United States of America. (A2 Televizion)
