Mohamed Salah is having one of the best seasons of his career and this is confirmed by the statistics of the Egyptian Liverpool star, who is in the final year of his contract with the Reds and is expected to leave in the summer.

On Sunday he scored a goal and provided an assist in Liverpool's 2-0 victory over Manchester City, setting another record in Premier League history.

Salah became the only player in Premier League history to be directly involved in 40 or more goals in more than one season, having done so in the 2017-18 season (42 – 32 goals, 10 assists) and the current season (41 – 25 goals, 16 assists).

His goal against City was his 16th away from home in the Premier League this season; equalling the record for most away goals in a single season in the competition (also 16 by Kevin Philips in 1999-2000 and Harry Kane in 2022-23).

Salah is also the first player in Premier League history to score and assist in both matches against the reigning champions in a single season.

He has scored more goals (9) and provided more assists (6) than any other player against teams managed by Pep Guardiola in his career as a manager in the top leagues. (A2 Televizion)
