The billionaire owner of Aston Villa FC is considering exiting the UK market following the government's tax changes, sources have told Bloomberg.
According to foreign media, Nassef Sawiris has looked at the US and some countries in Europe as possible relocation destinations.
The 63-year-old has a net worth of around $8.8 billion and owns homes around the world.
In July, his London-based family arm of his investment firm NNS Group was registered in Abu Dhabi.
Records show that Mr. Sawiris resigned as director of the office in November. Britain's richest people are facing some changes to their tax bill after the government's budget, writes A2 CNN.
These include higher taxes on inherited assets, a higher capital gains rate and ending tax breaks for wealthy individuals who bring in foreign income.
