The match between the hopeful teams of Montenegro and Albania, within the qualifiers for Euro2025, has been interrupted due to bad weather conditions.
Heavy rain in Podgorica caused the pitch to be flooded and seeing that the game was being played on a heavy pitch, referee Jonathan Lardot stopped the challenge in the 28th minute.
The referee of the match sent the teams to the dressing rooms and after consultation with the UEFA delegate and the representatives of both national teams it was decided that the match will not continue for today.
At the time of the break the score was 0:0. It is now up to UEFA to set another date for the development of the Montenegro U21-Albania U21 challenge, valid for the Euro 2025 qualifiers.
As for the progress of the two teams in these qualifiers, Montenegro has played three matches and has three points in the standings. On the other hand, Alban Bush's boys have nine points after five games. (A2 Televizion)
