Real Madrid have booked their place in the Copa del Rey final for the second time in 11 years after a dramatic 4-4 draw with Real Sociedad in the second leg of their semi-final, advancing 5-4 on aggregate thanks to a 1-0 win in San Sebastian.
Los Blancos started the match with a one-goal lead from the first leg, but were surprised in the 15th minute when Ander Barrenetxea put the visitors ahead after a Pablo Marín assist. Real responded quickly and in the 30th minute, a magical backheel from Vinícius Júnior allowed Endrick to equalise with an elegant parable over goalkeeper Álex Remiro.
The second half brought great emotions. Sociedad took the lead again when a cross from Marín ended up in the net after an unfortunate deflection by David Alaba. A few minutes later, Mikel Oyarzabal scored the third goal for the visitors, again with the help of an Alaba deflection. But Real Madrid never give up. Jude Bellingham reduced the deficit with a precise shot from inside the area, while Aurélien Tchouaméni restored Real's lead in the aggregate score with a header.
In extra time, Sociedad equalized again with a goal from Oyarzabal after a cross from Sergio Gómez, sending the match into extra time. When everything seemed to be heading towards penalties, Antonio Rüdiger scored the decisive goal with a header, sealing the victory and Real Madrid's qualification to the final.
Now, Los Blancos will await the winner of the Atlético Madrid – Barcelona match to discover their opponent in the grand final. (A2 Televizion)
