Formula 1 star Lando Norris was the protagonist of a horror accident in the first race at the Las Vegas track.
The British McLaren driver lost control of his car on the third lap while traveling at 290 kmh.
He eventually stopped at Turn 12 after slowing to 112 kmh and crashing into the side barriers.

The force of the crash was so great that it caused television cameras to shake.
Norris immediately radioed the team that he was fine before leaving the car. But despite this, the 24-year-old was transported to University Medical Center in Vegas for further examination.
McLaren later confirmed that Norris had been released from hospital without serious injuries. (A2 Televizion)
