A tragic incident occurred at the Fort Lauderdale, Florida marina on Monday evening when a vessel burst into flames, killing one person and injuring five others. Fire crews responded around 6:00 p.m. after multiple calls for help, US media reports.
When the teams arrived, the fire had already engulfed a large part of the ship and had spread to another ship nearby, writes A2 CNN. Camera footage shows the dramatic moment of the explosion.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire, but the boat was completely destroyed. The second boat sustained only partial damage. Five people were taken to hospital with serious injuries. Unfortunately, one person reported missing was later found dead by divers and other search agencies.
