Chinese automobile companies are showing their power by producing luxury vehicles at a price that Europeans can afford, thus openly challenging the giants of this sector on the old continent.
Recently, the Chinese company Zeekr has created the ultra-luxurious SUV model, Zeekr 9X, which is being presented these days at the Shanghai Auto Show.
What draws attention is the exterior of this car, which is reminiscent of the Rolls Royce Cullinan luxury SUV, with design elements reminiscent of the Cullinan's grille and its third pillar at the rear.
However, the Zeekr 9X, despite its presence, looks less fresh and innovative compared to European luxury SUVs, as it lacks futuristic features like hidden handles or rear doors that open upside down.
The Zeekr 9X is expected to shake up the luxury SUV segment as it is a hybrid model and can reach speeds of 0 to 100 km/h in around 3 seconds. Although the company has not fully confirmed the technical specifications, the 9X seems to follow the company's successful formula for electric or hybrid vehicles.
The Zeekr 9X is expected to launch with prices starting at 60,000 euros in China, which puts it in the European premium SUV category although it doesn't touch the luxury of the Cullinan or Range Rover. (A2 Televizion)
