A group of 15 students scaled the Leaning Tower of Pisa on Friday, bypassing security controls and waving a giant Palestinian flag from the bell tower.
They also lit some flares before disembarking.
The police in Pisa clarified in a press release that the group acted hidden behind a pacifist procession of about 500 people, which this morning passed through the main streets of the center to Piazza dei Miracoli.
The police are trying to identify the perpetrators through the videos. (A2 Televizion)
