The no-confidence motion against the government of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was defeated after an intense parliamentary session.
The motion submitted by the parties PASOK, SYRIZA, New Left, Freedom Course, as well as 9 independent MPs, was defeated with 157 votes against and 136 votes in favor, writes A2.
The Greek Prime Minister attacked the opposition during his speech in Parliament, accusing it of forming an “alliance of individuals who are thirsty for nihilism.” Mitsotakis also stressed that the opposition has not offered any clear and credible alternative.
Mitsotakis underlined that instead of constructive criticism, the opposition has only spread accusations and a lack of concrete ideas for improving the situation.
