"In difficult times we have Russia", Vučić speaks with Putin: Moscow

Serbs will always have Russia's support. This was the message that President Aleksandar Vučić received from his counterpart Vladimir Putin, during a telephone conversation held this Friday.

Faced with unprecedented pressure from protesters within the country, the Serbian leader said that Moscow supports the legitimacy of the elected government in Serbia and that it has always supported the Republika Srpska entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Vučić said he discussed with the Russian president the situation in Serbia and the region, but also other important issues, including reaching a new gas agreement with Russia and the issue of US sanctions on Serbia's oil industry, A2 reports.

He also said that his meeting with Putin in Moscow on May 9 has been confirmed. According to Vučić, organized thugs from abroad are organizing the protests against him.

The phone call between the two was also commented on by Deputy Prime Minister Vulin, who emphasized that in difficult times, Serbia always has Russia's unconditional and brotherly help, writes A2.

According to him, the color revolution in Serbia and the revenge against Dodik are part of a coup aimed at overthrowing President Vučić and everyone in the Serbian world who supports him.  (A2 Televizion)
