A 5.8 magnitude earthquake near the island of Rhodes in the early hours of Tuesday shook residents.
The seismic activity was also felt in Turkey, where according to Turkish media, a 14-year-old girl lost her life and 69 other people were injured.
As announced by Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, the teenager "was taken to the hospital" after "suffering a panic attack," where "unfortunately, despite all the efforts of the doctors," she lost her life, writes A2 CNN.
Most of the other injured jumped from a height because they panicked due to the strong seismic tremors, the minister explained.
Greek media reports that in Rhodes, there are no reports of injuries or material damage. (A2 Televizion)
