The words of the Croatian prime minister, who guarantees that the military agreement with Albania and Kosovo is not hostile in nature, have not calmed the anger that has engulfed Belgrade.
The Serbian embassy in Zagreb said it had listened carefully to Plenkovic's statements and remained committed to regional peace and cooperation. But it reiterated its commitment to resolutely defend Serbia's territory and integrity.
"If this agreement is truly customary and not hostile as the Croatian Prime Minister claims, then a question arises, why was Serbia not informed or consulted on an issue that, among other things, affects the integrity of Serbia?", the embassy claims in a response posted on the social network 'X'.
She further adds that the agreement violates the spirit and meaning of the 1996 Sub-Regional Arms Control Agreement, which aims to maintain stability and security in the region.
"We also reject attempts to present Serbia's justified concerns as 'enemy seeking.' Such an approach does not contribute to good neighborly relations or regional cooperation," the statement continued. (A2 Televizion)
