Richard Grenell, who officially took over as US envoy for special missions, has once again focused on the, according to him, alarming expenses that USAID is making in the Western Balkans.
"Hardworking Americans pay taxes, and politicians in Washington spend that money recklessly," Grenell claims on the social network X.
According to him, billions of dollars have been given to left-wing NGOs to promote radical politics in other countries. Data shared by Grenell shows that USAID has spent $537 million in Kosovo over 4 years, while $189 million in Albania.
The total spending in all Western Balkan countries is $1.7 billion. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced earlier that he has taken over the position of acting director of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), which he said has been completely irresponsible.
