The project to build Milan's new stadium, worth 1.2 billion euros, has entered its implementation phase. This ambitious project, which will have a capacity of around 71,500 seats and will operate 365 days a year, aims to transform the San Siro area, turning it into a modern and multifunctional center. The new stadium is expected to be operational from 2031, while works on the plant and auxiliary facilities will be completed between 2033 and 2035.
According to the plan, the stadium will be built to the west of the San Siro area, while part of the existing facility will be reused.
The stadium will be further away from residential areas and envisages the construction of a sports center around it, which will include museums, shops, offices, hotels and green areas, creating a holistic space that integrates various activities for fans and citizens.
The new stadium will meet the standards to host the UEFA Champions League finals and will retain historical elements from San Siro.
Inter and Milan analyzed three projects and have chosen this project to create a modern space that improves the surrounding area.
