Four colleagues of a company in Munich, Germany, experienced 4 hours of nightmare after being trapped in an elevator.
The incident took place in a building on Anzinger street. Due to a still unclear defect, the blocking mechanisms were activated, which are put into operation in the event of the elevator falling.
The four employees pressed the alarm button and two mechanics from the service company were immediately dispatched. Usually, rescuing trapped people takes a few minutes, but in this case it was not so simple. After two hours, the mechanics called for the help of the firefighters, who arrived to help.
They raised a ladder and one of the mechanics secured a rope to reach the elevator and then unlock it.
After four hours, they were rescued and managed to get out of the elevator. None of them were hurt. After this experience, they were able to breathe freely during their lunch break. (A2 Televizion)
