Two employees of Washington National Airport have been arrested for publishing security camera footage related to the tragic plane crash that occurred last week over the Potomac River.
According to reports from the New York Post, 21-year-old Mohamed Lamine Mbengue and 45-year-old Jonathan Savoy, both employees of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, have been charged with unauthorized copying of registration files and could face charges of unlawful access to electronic systems.
The two men's legal troubles are related to the publication of shocking cellphone videos that were widely distributed in the media following the tragic crash of the Black Hawk helicopter and the American Airlines plane.
The crash, which occurred over the Potomac River, killed all 67 people on board. Footage released by CNN revealed the dramatic moments of the accident, raising concerns and questions about air safety and the busy airspace above Ronald Reagan National Airport. (A2 Televizion)
