Authorities in the United States of America have managed to discover the bodies of 41 people, out of 67 who lost their lives in the air tragedy where a passenger plane collided with a military helicopter.
According to foreign media, it is reported that efforts to retrieve bodies are continuing in the Potomac River. Also, relatives of those killed in the plane crash have begun to pay tribute to the victims. One man recalled how he was waiting for his wife at the airport when he learned what had happened.
Both the plane and the helicopter crashed into the Potomac River after they collided. The news that the bodies of 41 people were found was also confirmed by the DC Fire Department.
Also, amid theories about whether the airport control tower was adequately staffed on the night of the crash, it has been confirmed that an air traffic control supervisor had let a controller leave earlier than the time he was supposed to end his shift.
The detail, first reported by the New York Times, has been confirmed to Sky News' US partner NBC News by a source familiar with the investigation. (A2 Televizion)
