Thirteen hostages will be released by Hamas on Friday. The news was announced by a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Majid al-Ansari.
He reiterated that Qatar's intention is for this agreement to end with a ceasefire that will last. Some of the hostages are elderly women, some are children, and they will be released around 16.00 local time.
Also, Majid al-Ansari added that there are many "moving parts on the ground", and this will happen every day, within a window of time.
The hostages will be handed over to the Red Cross, and the aim is to make the transfer as safe as possible.
"We have to keep in mind that this is a war zone," added the spokesman for Qatar's foreign ministry.
For the first day of the ceasefire, the pause will start at 07.00 am local time and the hostages will be released at 16.00. According to the agreement, the number of hostages that Hamas will have to release is 50 in exchange for a 4-day ceasefire. (A2 Televizion)
