The Ukrainian Security Service announces that it has handcuffed MP Oleksandr Dubinskiy for treason, for whom a court in Kiev has ordered a detention of 60 days.
Dubinskiy is suspected of having collaborated with Russia and been involved in actions that have harmed Ukraine, charges which the deputy has denied.
The court described the SBU's suspicions as well-founded, saying that the evidence was sufficient.
Dubinskiy was expelled from Ukraine's ruling Servants of the People party in 2021 after he was placed on a US sanctions list on suspicion of election meddling. He has continued to be part of the Parliament as an independent deputy. (A2 Televizion)
