Today, US President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to foreign media, it is reported that Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian president, has provided more details about the conversation between the two leaders.
He says Putin told Trump that the recent talks in Istanbul were useful, with the presidents agreeing to continue their talks on Ukraine and stay in constant contact with each other, writes A2 CNN.
Ushakov says Trump told Putin that the US had not been warned by Ukraine about its attacks on Russian air bases.
He adds that a meeting between the President of Russia and Volodymyr Zelenskyy has never been considered in practical terms.
As Trump mentioned, they also discussed Iran with the US president, stating that Russia's cooperation was essential.
