A man who threatened to blow up the Thessaloniki court with explosives was neutralized by the Greek police outside the premises of the justice body.
Early in the morning he climbed the steps of the court threatening to activate the improvised device he was holding in his hands, while shouting: " I will blow you up, bring the minister ".
A low-powered explosive device was found in his bag, with which he threatened to blow up the Thessaloniki court. The improvised device was formed with pyrotechnic tools and consisted of nine large firecrackers and a base which also contained pyrotechnic composition.
He also had electrical wiring and batteries with him. According to the Greek police, if the explosion had occurred, it would have caused serious injuries at a distance of up to three meters or more.
A gun was also found in the man's bag, which was found to be fake.
The man was arrested and according to the first information it appears that he suffers from psychological problems. (A2 Televizion)
