Hours after Iran attacked Israel, a strong warning has come from the latter. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has threatened Iran and its Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei with severe consequences for further attacks on civilian areas in the country.

"If Khamenei continues to fire missiles at the Israeli civilian population, Tehran will burn," Katz said after a meeting with the Army Chief of Staff, A2 writes.

Katz added: "The Iranian dictator is holding the people of Iran hostage and showing that they, especially the residents of Tehran, will pay a high price for the criminal harm inflicted on Israeli citizens."

It is learned that the Israeli military has announced further attacks on the Iranian capital.

"Fighter jets will resume their attacks on targets in Tehran. The road to Iran has been paved," the military declared.

For its part, Iran has warned the US, the UK and France against supporting Israel in repelling Iranian attacks, saying otherwise the Islamic Republic would target their bases and ships in the region, Iranian state media reported.

This is true if these countries try to stop Iranian attacks on Israel. Iran also said it had moved equipment to a safe location before the attack on the fortified Fordow nuclear power plant. The damage outside the plant is manageable, Behrouz Kamalvandi, a spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, said, according to the state news agency IRNA.

Much of the equipment and materials have been moved to safe areas. The Fordow nuclear power plant is located about 100 kilometers southwest of Tehran. Centrifuges for enriching uranium have also been installed there. The facility is located deep underground and is protected by anti-aircraft guns. (A2 Televizion)
