Moscow aims to fully occupy the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia by 2025. The warning came from Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov during a ministerial meeting, reiterating Russia's commitment to achieving what he described as "the objectives announced by President Vladimir Putin in June".
"In 2025, Moscow expects to achieve victory in the war," Belousov added, underscoring the need for Russia to prepare for possible conflicts with NATO in the next decade. The senior Russian official announced that "Preparation for war in the coming years is indicated by the decisions that were taken at the summit of the North Atlantic Alliance held in July this year."
"This is also reflected in the doctrinal documents of the United States and other NATO countries. At that summit in July, Ukraine received $43 billion in funding and more air defense systems, new bilateral security agreements, and a pledge that its path to membership is "irreversible."
For his part, Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that more than 100,000 US troops have been deployed in Europe, denouncing the increase in allied military presence on Russia's borders. For this reason, he announced, Moscow will "soon" start mass production of Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missiles, tested on November 21 in Ukraine. "If the United States deploys short- and medium-range missiles in any region of the world - he threatened - Russia will do the same." Putin also denounced the sending of mercenaries and military instructors to Ukraine, with which, according to him, Washington is openly promoting "an escalation of the conflict."
So, Ukraine has announced that it possesses a laser weapon capable of shooting down aerial targets at a height of more than 2 kilometers. This fact was announced by the commander of the country's drone forces. The military official, Vadym Sukharevskyi, did not give more details in his first official comments about the weapon's existence. (A2 Televizion)
