Israeli authorities have arrested two military reservists on charges of providing Iran with classified information, particularly regarding the Iron Dome defense system.
According to media reports, the two suspects, Yuri Ilyasivov and Georgi Andreev, both in their twenties, have pleaded guilty to the charges against them. They confessed that they would receive financial rewards in exchange for sensitive information, passing it on to Tehran.
Investigators suspect that Ilyasifov sent a foreign agent an Iron Dome video taken during his military service, stating that he was in financial difficulty.
According to the investigation, Ilyasifov came into contact with an Iranian through social media while looking for work, and then convinced Andreev to help him with the promise of financial benefits.
According to what Israeli investigators managed to uncover, Ilyasifov would receive $2,500, while Andreev would only receive $50. (A2 Televizion)
