Russia's Interior Ministry has included Ukrainian singer Jamala of Crimean Tatar origin on the wanted list, the Mediazona website reported, citing the ministry's wanted database.
In the database, it is never mentioned under which article the criminal case was filed. However, Jamala is accused of spreading "fake news" about the Russian military. She has been on the wanted list since mid-October.
A Russian court issued an arrest warrant in November in her absence, foreign media reported .
In 2016, Jamala, representing Ukraine, won the Eurovision Song Contest with her song about the expulsion of the Crimean Tatars during the Stalin era. The singer has condemned the annexation of Crimea since 2014. (A2 Televizion)
