A car has crashed into a group of people at a Christmas market in Germany, a news agency has reported, writes A2 CNN.
According to foreign media, it is known that the driver was arrested after the incident in the eastern city of Magdeburg.
A local government spokesman said several people were injured and some may have been killed, Reuters reported, citing public broadcaster MDR.
The police said in 'X' that extensive operations to clear up the event were taking place at the Christmas market in Magdeburg.
The market in the city center was closed and further reports pending the completion of the investigation, police added, writes A2 CNN.
Magdeburg, which is west of Berlin, is the state capital of Saxony-Anhalt and has a population of about 240,000. (A2 Televizion)
