The US Supreme Court on Saturday ruled against the Trump administration's deportation of suspected Venezuelan gang members under an 18th-century law.
Last month, President Donald Trump invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to begin rounding up Venezuelan immigrants in Texas accused of belonging to the Tren de Aragua gang, before deporting them to a maximum-security prison in El Salvador.
"The government is directed not to deport any member of the alleged class of prisoners from the United States until further order of this court," the order states. (A2 Televizion)
