United States President Joe Biden has confirmed the real possibility of reaching an agreement between Israel and Hamas.
In his address to the American nation, Biden acknowledged that in the first phase Hamas will release some of the Israeli hostages, while Hamas, for its part, demands that Israel return the body of Yahya Sinwar, killed in Gaza by the IDF.
"Regarding the war between Israel and Hamas, we are on the verge of a proposal that I laid out in detail months ago, but which has finally come to fruition. I spoke with the prime minister of Israel yesterday, I spoke with the emir of Qatar, I look forward to speaking with the president (Abdel Fattah al-) soon, release the hostages, stop the fighting, provide security for Israel, and allow us to significantly increase humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians, who have suffered terribly in this war that Hamas has started.
