Ukraine will not be able to remove Russia from its land. This fact was announced by the future national security advisor, Mike Waltz.

In an interview with the American media ABC News, Waltz said that the war should end diplomatically and that Russia's withdrawal from Ukraine is unrealistic.

"Everybody knows this has to end diplomatically somehow. I just don't think it's realistic to say we're going to kick every Russian out of every inch of Ukrainian soil, even Crimea. President Trump has accepted that reality and I think he has "It's been a big step forward that the whole world is accepting that reality. Now let's move forward," Waltz said.

Speaking on ABC's "This Week," Waltz said Donald Trump has agreed to meet with Vladimir Putin but gave no further details.

"From President Trump's point of view, you can't enter into a deal unless you have some kind of relationship and dialogue with the other side. And we will absolutely prove that in the coming months. We haven't set the exact framework for it yet. We we are working on this", he added.

Trump repeatedly said during the campaign that he would be able to end the Russia-Ukraine war on his first day in office, or even sooner. Recently, Keith Kellogg, Trump's pick to be a special peace envoy, set a longer timeline for ending the war, which he said could be completed within the first 100 days of Trump's presidency. .

Waltz, the Republican congressman from Florida, said Trump's rhetoric has helped dispel the idea that war was a hopeless future that would just go on and on. (A2 Televizion)
