The Russian planes hit by Ukrainian attacks on June 1 were not completely destroyed, but can be repaired, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.
" The equipment in question, as representatives of the Defense Ministry said, was not destroyed, but damaged. They will be restored ," Ryabkov said in an interview with the state news agency TASS.
The United States estimates that Ukraine's drone attack last weekend hit up to 20 Russian fighter jets, destroying about 10 of them.
This figure is actually half the estimate given by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who said that Kiev's drones destroyed 41 Russian bombers.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin told US President Donald Trump in a phone call on Wednesday that Moscow must respond to the June 1 attack. (A2 Televizion)
