The investigation shocks Germany, AfD MPs met with neo-Nazis in Switzerland

According to a report by German non-profit investigative media organization Correctiv, MPs from the German nationalist Alternative for Germany party, AfD, have again met with neo-Nazis. This time, not in Potsdam, like last year, but in Switzerland.

Correctiv's Jean Peters told ARD that Correctiv had infiltrated its own journalist at the meeting: "We infiltrated a journalist at a meeting between a member of the Bundestag, Roger Beckamp, and a member of the Brandenburg parliament, Lena Kotré."

According to Correctiv, there were also members of the neo-Nazi organization "Blood and Honor" at the meeting. This is an organization banned in Germany. The meeting was held at the invitation of the Swiss neo-Nazi group "Junge Tat" (New Act). Both organizations are considered violent and are being monitored by authorities in Germany and Switzerland.

The Correctiv platform report once again shows the closeness of the AfD to the neo-Nazi scene. They share their extremist ideas. Member of Parliament of Brandenburg, Lena Kotre, expressed the idea of using DNA samples and language analysis to determine the origin of refugees and deport them to their countries of origin. It is reported that she has also spoken about the removal of German citizenship for those citizens who violate the laws.

Tobias Ginsburg, the Correctiv journalist who attended the secret meeting, has long noted that such far-right views are no longer shared among neo-Nazi groups, but are increasingly moving to the center of society, with the help of the AfD -s: "I think the fear is falling more and more. The question is no longer whether AFD is an extreme right-wing party, but whether it differs from a genuine neo-Nazi scene", he said Ginsburg.

According to Ginsburg, AfD lawmaker Beckamp offered neo-Nazis the opportunity to work in AfD offices in the Bundestag. He said that money could be secured to fund "other things" that help the party's political goals.

So far, the AfD has not given any answer to these accusations. AfD has not responded to the questions asked by ARD regarding the Correctiv report and the possible consequences for the MPs involved./ DW (A2 Televizion)
