Iran condemns attacks in Yemen: US supports genocide in Palestine, should not

The United States has no right to dictate Iran's foreign policy. This was written today in "X" by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in response to the message published yesterday in "Truth" by US President Donald Trump, who ordered Tehran to immediately end its support for the Houthis in Yemen.

For its part, the ministry's spokesman, Esmail Baghaei, condemned the attacks. "The military aggression constitutes a flagrant violation of the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter and international law, in particular the prohibition of the use of force and respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity," he said. The attack "is in line with their continued support for the 'genocide' of the Palestinian people," he added.

"The main cause of instability in West Asia is the ongoing occupation and mass killings in Palestine, perpetuated by the support of the US, UK and the West, which pose an unprecedented threat to regional and global security," the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman concluded.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed US airstrikes in Yemen with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, stressing that "the Houthis' continued attacks on US military and commercial vessels in the Red Sea will not be tolerated," CNN reported, citing a State Department statement.

Last summer, Russia was ready to deliver weapons to the Houthis, but backed down under pressure from the United States and Saudi Arabia.
