Israel's Foreign Ministry has announced that trucks carrying baby food, flour and medical supplies will be allowed to enter Gaza "immediately".
According to foreign media, so far, there are no reports that any of the trucks have arrived at their destination.
The UN has warned that Gaza is on the brink of famine, and people we spoke to say they are struggling to cope with the hunger.
Doctors at hospitals still operating in the territory have said they are rapidly running out of essential medical supplies.
"My children and I are very hungry," a man in southern Gaza previously told foreign media, blaming both Israel and Hamas for the situation in the territory.
A journalist in Khan Younis, in the south, described the situation there as "very bad," saying that so far he had not seen any aid enter the country. (A2 Televizion)
