Germany's Chancellor-elect, Friedrich Merz, expects his country to release 3 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine.
According to foreign media, his move comes after the Upper House of the German Parliament approved a plan to allow drastically higher public spending.
"There will be no shortage of financial resources to defend freedom and peace on our continent," said Friedrich Merz, writes A2 CNN.
He also announced today an agreement with the Social Democrats and the Greens on constitutional reform to exempt defense and security spending from debt rules. (A2 Televizion)
