The Guardia di Finanza in Reggio Calabria, in collaboration with the Customs Agency, seized a shipment of over 780 kg of pure cocaine at the port of Gioia Tauro.
The packages of white powder were found hidden after the inspection of three suspicious containers coming from South America and destined for several ports in Italy and Spain.
Some packages were hidden inside hundreds of bags of pellets, while others were hidden inside a cavity in the engine compartment of a refrigerated container transporting frozen fish.
So far, there are no reports of arrests, as authorities continue to work to find the network. (A2 Televizion)
