Russian forces attacked Ukraine on Saturday morning with four Iskander ballistic missiles, 39 Shahed suicide drones and various types of "rogue" drones, Kiev's Air Force announced.
According to foreign media, two ballistic missiles and 24 attack drones were shot down, while 14 drones fell in open areas, writes A2 CNN.
The downed ballistic missiles landed near the capital, causing extensive damage. Meanwhile, four people have reportedly been killed in Kiev as a result of the ballistic missile attack.
After the attack, fires and damage to infrastructure, including metro stations, were reported. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said air defenses were in action around the city.
Meanwhile, in the southern city of Zaporizhia, local authorities say six people were injured in a Russian attack. The attacks are the latest in a war that began after Russia's full invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, A2 CNN reports. (A2 Televizion)
