The US President's National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz, and his deputy, Alex Wong, will leave their posts.

This fact was announced by Reuters, which quotes diplomatic sources from the United States, writes A2.

The 51-year-old former Republican lawmaker from Florida came under fire inside the White House when he was embroiled in a March scandal involving a Signal conversation between Trump's top national security aides. Waltz's job has been in limbo since it became clear earlier this week that his time at the helm of the National Security Council was over, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Special envoy Steve Witkoff, a real estate developer and friend of President Donald Trump, is being considered to replace Waltz as National Security Advisor.  (A2 Televizion)
