A pleasant moment was recorded at the White House as newly sworn-in President Donald Trump began signing executive orders.
During the ceremony, one of the reporters asked Trump if his predecessor Biden had left him a letter, a tradition that American presidents have followed for years.
This question piqued the curiosity of the new president, who apparently had forgotten this point of protocol and immediately began checking the drawers, one of which contained Joe Biden's passport and letter.
The President thanked the journalist, ironically saying that he would most likely leave the letter in a drawer for many months, as he remembered that he had left his on the desk 4 years ago.
Journalist: Did President Biden leave you a letter?
Trump: He might have left it. Isn't it left on the table? I don't know. Oh, thanks Peter, it could have been years without seeing it!
Journalist: You can read what it says on the outside.
Trump: Maybe we can all read it together. Or, maybe I should read it first and then make a decision. Peter, thank you very much, I could have gone without seeing it for months.
Journalist: I hope it helps you pass the baton
Trump: I left him a letter too, I left it on his desk.
