United States President Donald Trump has again commented on the situation in the Middle East, reiterating his tough stance on Iran.
During a statement to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said: "Iran cannot have nuclear weapons."
Asked if the US could do more to help Israel, Trump said that "we're doing pretty well right now," adding that his focus is on "making sure people are safe," referring to his earlier call for the evacuation of citizens from Tehran, writes A2 CNN.
The US president denied that he is seeking a ceasefire, stressing:
"We are not seeking a ceasefire. We are seeking something better than a ceasefire."
Asked what could be “better” than a ceasefire, he replied curtly: “A real end. Not a ceasefire, but an end.” (A2 Televizion)
