Hamas is reportedly ready to accept a new ceasefire proposal with Israel. The details of the proposal, according to Egyptian broadcaster Al-Rad, outline a structured 60-day deal, backed by international guarantees from Egypt, Qatar and the United States.
The document will also include a direct personal commitment from President Donald Trump, who will play a political oversight role in the implementation phase. Under the plan, on the first day of the ceasefire, Hamas would release eight live hostages, while the Israeli military (IDF) would begin a gradual withdrawal from the northern Gaza Strip.
After a week, the bodies of the five deceased hostages would be returned to Israel. On the tenth day, Hamas would provide information and medical evidence on the status of the hostages still being held, while Israel would share data on Palestinians arrested since October 7, 2023.
Over the next month, the agreement calls for further steps: the transfer of five more bodies on the thirtieth day, the release of two live hostages on the fiftieth day, and finally the handover of eight bodies on the sixtieth day.
In parallel with the release of the hostages, Israel would allow immediate humanitarian aid to enter Gaza and the military withdrawal would continue southward. (A2 Televizion)
