Two consecutive explosions rocked eastern Rome shortly after 8 a.m. Several people were injured, including three with serious burns, after a gas station exploded.
The huge explosion at a petrol, diesel and liquefied gas station was heard throughout the Italian capital.
"It looked like hell," says one witness, who miraculously survived. Firefighters, police and civil defense volunteers are at the scene.
About twenty people were injured, including police officers, volunteers and a firefighter. The metro station is reported to have been closed. (A2 Televizion)
