Palestinians are leaving al-Shifa hospital on foot. The AFP news agency has published some photos from the moment the civilians left the area that has already turned into a "hot spot".

Hundreds of people are reported to have been evacuated from the hospital, which has been under the control of Israeli forces for days now.

The footage shows men, women and children walking among the rubble that has occupied the road, while a bulldozer can be seen in the background.

According to the reports of the news agency, the crowd, among which there were also sick and injured people, was headed for the Gaza coast.

Meanwhile, it was reported earlier that the health ministry in Gaza, which is run by Hamas, announced that there were 120 patients and an unspecified number of premature babies in the hospital.

The head of the hospital has accused the Israeli military of being responsible for the evacuation order, but the IDF says it helped facilitate a request from the director. (A2 Televizion)
