"We are determined to continue fighting until victory, we will destroy the enemy and free all the hostages."
This was the statement of Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu during a press conference with journalists, where he reiterated Israel's objectives during the offensive in Gaza.
He said that after the day of victory, Israel will no longer allow Gaza to represent a threat to it.
"The Israeli armed forces will have to maintain freedom of maneuver within the country. Israel operates according to the international codes of warfare," Netanyahu said.
Asked by a journalist what will be done with the leaders of Hamas, a good part of whom are taking shelter outside Gaza, Prime Minister Netanyahu said that all militants are "the walking dead", adding that they are all targeted , including the main leader of the group based in Qatar.
The leader of the government denied that an agreement had been reached for the release of the hostages in exchange for a 5-day cease-fire, dispelling rumors that such an accord is only a matter of hours.
During the evening, the first two trucks with 120,000 liters of fuel entered Gaza, which will be used for hospitals and other vital services, which have already reached the minimum in the entire enclave.
