Humanitarian organization attacked in Gaza, one employee killed, Red Crescent:

The Red Crescent Society accused Israeli forces of attacking its headquarters in Gaza, killing one employee and wounding three others. The attack, it said, caused a large fire in the building in the early hours of Sunday. Describing the attack in the southern city of Khan Yunis as deliberate, the Red Crescent said its headquarters is well known to the Israeli military and is clearly marked with the red protective emblem.

"This was not a mistake. We reiterate our call for accountability and the protection of all our personnel ," the organization said. The Israeli Defense Forces said they were not aware of any air or artillery strikes in the area when asked by the BBC about the allegations.

A video shared by the organization on social media shows the building in flames and filled with smoke, while later images show extensive damage to the building, and blood stains. The incident comes amid warnings of a worsening crisis in Gaza.

According to UN data, at least 1,373 Palestinians have been killed while searching for food since the end of May.  (A2 Televizion)
